Wagashi

Wahashi is a term refers to traditional Japanese confectionery. It is a wide variety of dessert consist of sugar, rice, wheat flour seasoned with various flavor. Japanese dessert can be categorized into three types, according to its characteristic. The Namagashi, which contains more than 30% of liquid, including mochi and dango, which are made by glutinous rice. The Higashi, which contains 10% or less liquid, including all kinds of traditional candies and cookies. The Han namagashi is the rest in between, including dorayaki and nerikiri, which are made of flour and bean paste. Japanese dessert features its elegant flavor and meticulous looks and sophisticate designs.
