Cham cham

Cahm cham, also known as chom chom or chum chum, is a traditional East India sweet similar to rasgulla. Cham cham is made by curd like cottage cheese, such as chhena or khoya. Shaped into oval then fried, cham cham features lighter colors, like pink, yellow and white. Next, cham cham will be simmered or soaked with syrup, and finally, coated with coconut or khoya flakes. Additionally, cham cham can also be stuffed with sweet khoya fillings and garnished with pistachios. The spongy, soft and smooth texture make cham cham one of the most popular desserts of India.
