Mung bean pastry is a variation of Suzhou style moon cake. The flaky crust and the sweet and savory filling is mung bean pastry’s biggest feature. The filling is the typical combination of sweet mung bean paste and savory braised meat or vegan meat floss. Additionally, sesame, red onions and spices are fried and mixed to balance the two main ingredient. White and puffy soft crust stuffed with tender flavorful stuffing, mung bean pastry is a classic that will never be outdated.
