Shaped Steamed Bun
A variant of steamed bean paste bun and lotus seeds bun, Shou Tao bao is made to look like a peach. Shou Tao, symbolizing longevity and health, is regarded as a birthday gift for gods. Therefore, Shou Tao Bao has always been a traditional dessert for worshiping and festivals. Steamed turtle bun, an oval-shaped steamed bun with sweet fillings such as red bean paste, mung bean paste or peanut powder. Similar to Shou Tao Bao, steamed turtle bun represents longevity and health. To preserve the elasticity of the dough, HM-868 adapted a three-step rolling process to roll the dough flat. Then, the dough will be rolled into appropriate thickness, and then wrapping up the filling extruded on the wrapper by a rolling pin. Moreover, the weight, size, and proportion of the skin and filling are adjustable. Finally, the filled roll will be formed into balls and buns by encrusting shutter.
