Gua Bao (Bao Bun)

Gua Bao, also called bao bun, is an oblong and flat mantou, which can be opened up like a wallet. Also being called the Taiwanese burger, gua bao has a fermented fluffy skin like bread. Traditional bao bun is stuffed with braised pork belly, coriander, sauerkraut, peanut powder, and etc. In Taiwan, peanut powder will be mixed with sugar powder adding some sweetness in this savory snack.
