In early August, the “Mingba Kelu Bridge” in Taoyuan District, Kaohsiung City was destroyed by mudflow due to continuous rain. Residents of the three tribes including Fuxing village, Lavulang, and Meishan village were trapped. The roads to the outside world were interrupted. Residents were in urgent need of supplies. Kevin Tsai, CEO of Hundred Machinery, donated resources to help the residents as soon as he learned about the news from Dele Social Enterprise.
He was then invited to participate in the ceremony, held to show gratitude toward the helps from the public. Tsai attended the ceremony with Gao Paulol, Office Director of legislator Wu Lihua, at Kaohsiung Farm. The chiefs of the three villages also came to the ceremony to express their gratefulness. Tsai said: “It is more blessed to give than to receive. The original intention of donation is to show our cares for the tribes by actions to accompany the residents through the difficulties.” On the eve of the Mid-Autumn Festival, Tsai delivered the mooncakes to express our care to the children.
