As the holiday season approaches, children around the world look forward to receiving their Christmas gifts. Yet for those in remote areas and families facing financial hardships, such dreams often feel out of reach. In a heartwarming gesture, Tainan-based food machinery leader Hundred Machinery partnered with the Love Child Care Foundation to deliver Christmas gifts to students at Guan Miao Elementary School. Stepping into the role of Santa Claus, Hundred Machinery’s CEO Tsai Cheng-Yen visited the school to personally hand out gifts, making the children’s holiday dreams a reality.

Guan Miao Elementary School Principal Lu Chih-Chung expressed his gratitude, noting that this is the school’s first time participating in the Christmas Gift Sponsorship Program. “The students were thrilled to receive such thoughtful gifts during the holidays,” Lu said. “Many of their wish lists included essentials like stationery, pencil cases, and insulated water bottles. These gifts not only bring joy but also help reduce financial burdens for their families, encouraging the children to study hard and pass this love forward.”

For Tsai Cheng-Yen, the event was a continuation of Hundred Machinery’s commitment to corporate social responsibility. “We are grateful to the Love Child Care Foundation for organizing this initiative,” said Tsai. “This marks our second times visiting Guan Miao Elementary School. We hope the children feel the warmth of the community during the holiday season. Hundred Machinery will continue supporting programs like this to bring smiles to more children.”

The Love Child Care Foundation focuses on helping children and youth aged 6 to 18 who face challenges such as orphanhood, grandparent-led households, and low-income status. The foundation runs long-term initiatives like the “Nutritional Assistance Program,” alongside projects such as remote education support, breakfast sponsorship, and partnerships with Tainan schools under the “Social Welfare Partner Alliance.” With the mission “To ensure children eat well, so they can learn well,” the foundation aims to build a strong foundation for every child’s future.

Hundred Machinery’s roots in the food industry resonate deeply with this mission. Tsai emphasized the importance of collaboration and encouraged other businesses to embrace corporate social responsibility. “We hope to inspire more companies to join efforts in creating brighter and more joyful childhoods for all children,” Tsai said.
