About Soft Peanut Candy

Peanut candy is a type of confection made of maltose, roasted peanut, whole or ground. The texture and the hardness of peanut candy diverse, depending the proportion and the temperature of the sugar. Similar to Chikki of India and Pé-de-moleque of Brazil, different nuts, like almonds, sesames, pumpkin seeds were added to enrich the flavor. Additionally, different peanut candies were made with different method and ingredients. For example, gong tang were softer peanut candies with ground peanuts while peanut crisp candies are layered sugar crisps. As for the stuffed soft peanut candy, peanut powder is stuffed in the chewy malt sugar and coated with sesames.
